The Well-Known Hacker P0sixninja Leaves Chronic Dev Team

The famous “master of jailbreak” Joshua Hill, known in the community as p0sixninja has just announced on his Twitter account that he is leaving the Chronic Dev Team, the famous group of hackers dedicated to iOS’s jailbreaking. Hill himself helped create a few years ago, and he was considered to be the front man, at least until now.

It is not clear what are the real reasons behind this abandonment. In a follow up tweet sent by P0sixninja it sounds like there might be a matter of money. but reliable sources close to the Chronic Dev Team say that the issue is far more complicated than that.

Below are the two tweets sent by the hacker to his followers:

P0sixninja was a pivot key in the development of tools for the jailbreak as GreenPois0n and most recently,  Absinthe. It is considered by many as one of the “key people” in jailbreak community.

We do not know what new adventure p0sixninja will throw but, bet, will not be the last time we hear of him. Next month at JailbreakCon will still be present, and hopefully we can get assurances concerning his further involvement in the jailbreak community.

Whatever you decide to do, we wish him a huge good luck.
