According to a study reported by Gogo, users of commercial flights prefer Apple’s iOS devices, totaling the 73% of web traffic among all users who have used it within the year 2012.
The new ”Statistics of the Stratosphere“ announced by Gogo, confirms a very positive situation with regard to the use of Apple devices on the Internet, even during commercial flights. Gogo is a company that deals to offer internet access services on airliners and has posted his stats via an infographic.
This shows that the iOS devices are mostly used, in fact the 73% of total counted are iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Android is only 26%, while the remaining has a measly 1%. However, the mobile operating system from Google is growing fast over the previous year.
Tablets are the preferred by users for commercial flights, with 35% of the total devices, followed by laptop (33%) and Smartphones (32%). Regarding the Apple devices, iPad represents 59% of the total, followed by the iPhone (36%) and iPod (5%).
