How To Update Tethered iOS 6.1 Jailbreak To An Untethered Jailbreak

MuscleNerd has just announced that evasi0n is also available on Cydia, in the form of a package that you can download for free from the famous store. The package is for devices running on iOS 6.1 and will help users to convert tethered jailbreak into untethered jailbreak, without having to run the whole process of Jailbreak.

Few days back we told you method to tethered jailbreak iOS 6 using redsn0w; which means whenever the device is turned off or reboots for some problem, you must connect it to the computer and run the startup process using redsn0w.

Note: This tutorial is only valid for iPhone 4, or iPod touch 4th generation already running on iOS 6.1 tethered jailbreak. To jailbreak A-5 devices or later you should read our how to jailbreak iOS 6.1 using evasi0n tutorial.

Follow the steps below on how to update tethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak to an untethered jailbreak:

Step 1: Launch Cydia app and search for Evasi0n package.

Step 2: Install the evasi0n iOS 6.x untether package and restart your iDevice.

That’s it you have successfully converted tethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak into an untethered jailbreak.
