How To Jailbreak iOS 6.0.2 Using Redsn0w | Guide

Posted on Dec 18 2012 - 8:01pm by Muhammad Umer

Just an hour ago Apple released iOS 6.0.2 to fix the WiFi issues in iPhone and iPad. We have very good news for jailbreakers; iOS 6.0.2 can be jailbroken using Redsn0w.

This jailbreak is of tethered kind therefore you will need to “Just Boot” every time you restart your iDevice.

Here is a step by step guide on how to jailbreak iOS 6.0.2:

Step 1: Download Redsn0w 0.9.15b3 and iOS 6 from the links given in Requirements section.

Step 2: Connect your iOS device to PC.

Step 3: Place your iDevice in DFU mode.

Step 4: Start Redsn0w 0.9.15b3.

Step 5: In main screen click on Extras > Select IPSW and then select the iOS 6.0 firmware file for the device you want to run jailbreak on.

Step 6: Return on main screen and click on “Jailbreak” and on the following screen make sure that the “Cydia” box is checked.

Step 7: Click on Next and Redsn0w will start jailbreaking your firmware.

Step 8: On completion of jailbreak process you will be returned to your Lock Screen, now again place your device in DFU mode.

Step 9: Now click on Extras in main Redsn0w screen and then click on “Just Boot”

Step 10: Your device will reboot after the appearance of Pineapple logo.

Once your iPad, iPhone and iPod touch reboot is complete, you have successfully jailbroken iOS 6.0.2.

            It’s plural not singular.
