How to Enable LED Flash Alerts In iOS 5 And Later

Posted on Dec 2 2012 - 10:45am by Muhammad Umer

In this article will explain how to enable and use the “LED Flash for Alerts” that allows you to activate the flash whenever you receive a notification on the iPhone.

To enable notifications by LED Flash on iOS 5 and later follow the steps below:

Step 1: Tap Settings icon on your iPhone’s Home Screen.

Step 2: Scroll and tap General.

Step 3: Now scroll in General menu till you find “LED Flash for Alerts”, normally this switch is turned off.

Step 4: Tap it for activation; activating it will enable the operation of Flash to notify the receiving of notifications.

Obviously, this feature is not present in versions of iOS for iPhone, iPhone 3 g and iPhone 3GS which do not have a LED Flash.

By activating the option mentioned above, for each new notification received by applications, the LED Flash on your iPhone will glow intermittently to indicate the receiving a message of any type.

For sure it is a function that may be useful in some cases, certainly not in all. It should be noted, the use of this function may have an impact on the battery life of your iPhone.
