When you need to type a text message or write an email on the web browser on your iPhone 5, a keyboard appears that contains almost all the important characters you might need to express your thoughts and feelings in your local language. But, there are some characters that are called Emoji in messages you might have seen or received. Their benefit is that they permit you to express your emotions through only the use of a special character. These characters are more popular among the young people, but all users use them. So, here is the way using which you will be able to use emoji characters on your iPhone 5.

There are a large number of these emoji characters on hand for your use and there you will definitely find that there is an appropriate one for just about any emotion that you could imagine. Here, it is important to mention that these characters are only visible to your friends that also use iOS devices, for instance, iPhone, iPad or iPod touches. With all this in mind, follow the simple steps below to learn how to insert emoji characters in your text messages.

Step 1: Tap the Setting icon present on the home screen of your iPhone 5.

Step 2: In there, select the General option.

Step 3: Select the Keyboards option by scrolling down.

Step 4: Tap on the Keyboards option.

Step 5: Opt for the Add New Keyboard option.

Step 6: Scroll down and you will find the Emoji option, tap it.

This will put in a globe option on your keyboard. Tapping on this icon will lead you to Emoji keyboard where you will find characters of your interest.

If you are irritated by the sound of keyboard click as you are typing, it is possible to turn off the iPhone 5 keyboard clicks. This is particularly helpful to you if you are using your iPhone on public place as these sounds can be disturbing to strangers there.
