Facebook: Users Who Use The Android App Outweigh iOS

A few months ago, Facebook employees were encouraged to change their iPhone with Android smartphone. Today the analyst Benedict Evans has published its statistics about users using the mobile application of the popular social network.

In September 2011 Facebook users on Android devices totaled 66 million, while its iPhone app reached 91 million users. But only 11 months later, in November 2012, users who use the application on Android device grew up the incredible sum of 192.8 million, while those using it on iPhone are 147.2 million.

It is interesting to note, that the iPhone has a better penetration. The official Facebook application is used actively by 73.6 percent of the 200 million iPhone users that have installed, instead of 550 million Android users who downloaded the Facebook app and only 35% are actually using it actively.
