Facebook, according to what was said by Business Insider, may insert advertising banners within Instagram, in order to find ways to make profitable purchases of the hugely popular and highly respected application for editing and sharing photos.
Instagram owes much of its success to its simplicity of use, thanks to its clean and simple interface. It almost seems that Facebook, after the completion of the purchase in October, wants to completely break this balance, adding the annoying ads advertising within the app for photo-sharing.
“Instagram continues to grow incredibly fast and we’re still a very small team when you think about the amount of people they are reaching. There are many brands that use Instagram right now to try to get a feel for how to engage with their followers. We will definitely be figuring out a monetization strategy. When that will happen, I can’t comment, but it’s going to happen.”
These are the words of Carolyn Everson, who occupies a role as a leader in the field of global advertising at Facebook, which should now resign us to the fact that most probably the next update of Instagram will contain ads.
Recall that the purchase of Instagram has been perfected by Facebook in October last year for the sum of 1 billion dollars. It seemed pretty obvious that the company headed by Mark Zuckerberg wanted to somehow fall in spending.
