Our iPhone support the recognition of faces within pictures, allow performing autofocus right where we are interested in portraits and group shots. This feature, however, is missing in the videos, at least until now!
The iSight camera of our iPhone supports face detection automatically when we are going to take a picture. Its operation is excellent and is able to recognize up to a total of 10 different faces. This also works if you want to make a video, but only in the moments prior to the start of recording.
This limitation can be overcome with the new Cydia tweak, FaceDetectionDuringVideo. Allows the recognition of faces even when we record the video, analyze the image frame by frame, in order to calculate the values of exposure and autofocus.
To enable face detection on iPhone install FaceDetectionDuringVideo available on Cydia, compatible with iPod touch 5G, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 4, and the iPad mini. It is located within the BigBoss repository and can be downloaded for free.
